Description

Mobberley Mills, near Knutsford, Cheshire. Sale by auction of the whole of the valuable machinery for preparing and spinning cotton, together with the condensing Steam engine, Butterley Boiler etc.

Mr. Wheatley Kirk (?auctioneer) is favoured with the instruction from the proprieter to sell by auction on Wednesday, March 5, 1856 commencing at twelve o’clock in the morning, on the premises of Mobberley Cotton Mills

Comment

Assumed to be the old Crepe mill (Mill Lane) which is shown as a Cotton mill on the Tythe map of 1838
