This name has been attributed to the Northern side of the triangle formed at the junction of Burleyhurst, Davenport and Newton Hall Lanes. Road signs and Royal mail indicate that it is designated Burleyhurst Lane.
The attached picture was taken from Newton Hall Lane looking North(ish).
OS 1910 maps referes to Barnes Brow within the Triangle (see link) and Stephen Murray refers to Barnes Green - another hamlet?
