Runs from the junction of Church Lane and Hobcroft Lane in the south, to crash gate No. 9 for R2. Originally the lane continued further north to the junction of Wood Lane and Ostler’s now of course lost to R2. Hill House was also at this junction.

The access gateway on the left is for the overhead HT line grounding station.
