Mobberley Village Society

Mobberley Station has been judged to be so tidy that MVS have received a “Best Kept Station - Tidiest Station 2006 award”; well done all those people who have taken time out to make it that way. Press release.

For some background on the competition see “The Baggin Man” and details for our station.

Some words from the chair, Susan Albountany:
Here is the
link to the Station Award Ceremony at the Salt museum that Gary and I attended 23 January when we won the 'tidiest Station' Award! Aren't we famous!

Although this is becoming embarrassing as I am the one who has to keep collecting all these things! when of course it is on behalf of the efforts of all of us.

Thank you to Pauline Hoult of Slade Lane who has been 2-3 times to help (apart from other events such as Litter Picking). Also to Alistair McLeod of Pavement Lane who spent a couple of hours with us last time and who also collects litter and pulls up weeds whilst waiting on the platform. Thank you Alistair.”

Whilst at the Awards with Gary and I met the winner from
Handforth who gave us a couple of ideas about sponsorship, I'll put this on the Agenda for the next meeting.
