At grass routes level we have the Parish Council. This is non party political and councillors are recruited from village members.

The next tier, and higher, are all party oriented. First there is Macclesfield Borough Council with headquarters at the Town Hall, Macclesfield. Mobberley ward representative is councillor Jamie Macrae.

Secondly there is the Cheshire County Council, with headquarters at County Hall, Chester. Cheshire C.C. is currently run by a Conservative administration and our representative for Bucklow electoral division is Councillor Steve Wilkinson.
