Possibly the first houses( along with Hall Bank) in Mobberley to be supplied with gas; long before BG came to Town Lane in 1987. The supply came from the “Crepe Mill” which was where Twibell’s Yard is now located. Also long before modern sanitation services, water came from a well/pump (whatever happened to it?) and toilets were a long walk away (33m) at the bottom of the garden; men from the Council came in a green wagon to empty the buckets, not a pleasant task! The adjacent field is a designated play area and located within, is the Scout and Guide HQ
