Edward Morton Memorial Scout & Guide HQ

The HQ occupies a site on Hall Bank, a most picturesque area of the village and houses meetings of:

  • Beavers, Cubs, Scouts
  • Rainbows, Brownies, Guides
  • The present purpose-built accommodation, replacing an earlier structure, was made possible by a generous legacy from a local resident, Edward Morton, and opened by Margaret, his widow, in July 1991.
    Its facilities are available to the public for small functions and it is usual in these circumstances for users to make a donation towards its upkeep.


    Mens’ Club

    The Mobberley Victory Hall Mens’ Club is situated to the rear of the Victory Hall. The Club was founded in the early 1920s and through the years has progressed from humble beginnings to the provision of a range of sporting and social facilities for its members and their guests to enjoy. The Club is open seven evenings a week and at weekend lunchtimes. For more information, please contact the Club Secretary.


    Senior Citizens Social Club

    The Club meets each Monday at 8.OOpm at the Victory Hall for a Social evening  - Bingo, planning of outings, entertainments, fund raising etc.  All senior citizens are most welcome.

     


     Womens’ Institute

    Mobberley WI was formed in 1928 and averages 40 members. Meetings are held monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 7.3Opm in the Victory Hall (January and February 2.OOpm). The Womens’ Institute is the largest womens’ organisation in England and Wales.
    It is non-sectarian and non-political, fostering friendship and interests over the Community. New members are always welcome.
